Anxious Angela

Busy Bee

A Red Kite circles in the pale azure sky
Cotton wool clouds float serenely by
My feet are wet from the morning dew
A thin crescent moon completes the view

The meadow flowers sway tall and bright
I'm totally alone not a soul in sight
Just me and the insects busy on their way
No time to waste it's a brand new day

I'm drawn to the poppies bright vivid red
And a bee that roams from head to head
Driven, determined, frantic in her haste
With solitary focus she's working at pace

I pause to watch our lives quite distinct
I'm driven by love the bee by instinct
Just for a moment our lives intertwine
Before the bee goes her way and I go mine
