Confetti
I really don’t remember
I was so very small
My parents took me to the church
I couldn’t even crawl
The priest was very gentle
With the holy water flow
Wrapped up tightly in my shawl
The confetti blew like snow
When I met my Angel
I knew she was for me
We’d spend our lives together
And raise our family
Outside the church we gathered
Our faces all aglow
While the cameras clicked and whirred
The confetti blew like snow
Now my Angel’s passed away
She's gone to God above
All the years we spent together
Happily in love
Tears roll slowly down my cheeks
I wish it wasn’t so
Sitting alone outside the church
The confetti blew like snow
