Memories
I’m sitting on the bottom
There’s green water all around
I’m feeling quite relaxed and all
Don’t think I need to frown
An underwater rubbish dump
Shopping trolley over there
Small bubbles rising from my mouth
I’m not worried that there’s no air
A hand comes in and pulls me out
All smiles no need to mourn
He spotted my bright red sweater
Instead of dying I am reborn
I never knew the stranger
Who happened along that day
Without him there's no memories
Made each and every day
I remember the calm within me
There's no reason to pretend
In the sure and certain knowledge
That death is not the end
